C: I’m Cecilia! This is 1800Dreamzz!
A: That’s Dreamzz with two zz’s
C: Hey so it’s a new year! Still! I feel like this past week was at least a month.
A: Yeah, this last week was insane. A total roller coaster! I quit my job because I was depressed
C: And then some whackos broke into the US Capitol! So that was fun. Wow. Now, during super stressful weeks like this, do you find that your dreams are crazier than usual?
A: riff what about you?
C: Yeah dude, plus Rupaul is back on so my dreams have been...just even more bonkers. I had a dream this past week that both my husband and Rupaul were being mean to me!!
A: Dang! Riff - Well, we have a lot of cool content coming up and we love putting it together for you dear listeners! If you learn something from us in this episode and feel so inclined, you can send us a cash tip via “Buy Me A Coffee” or on venmo!
C: And if you are a weekly listener and you want to help us out even more, you can support us monthly on Patreon for as little as $3. A: Yes we do! So last week we talked about dreams and resolutions! That was fun! This week, what do we have Cecilia?
C: This week we have the highly requested “flying in dreams” episode. I feel like this is one that everyone asks about.
C: Well according to Psychology Today, “When you fly, you feel elated (presumably). So, it likely symbolizes some relief or excitement in your waken life.” End of episode, done!
C: I’m just kidding, I have more! Haha! Elite Daily says, “Flying dreams are common lucid dreams, meaning you become aware that you’re dreaming in that moment. In this type of dream, you may even be able to control the characters, environment, or narrative (like, Inception-style). However, this isn’t necessary for a dream to be lucid.” We’re going to talk more about lucid dreams in a couple weeks, so keep that in your dream work notebook.
Apparently freud and jung thought that they were erection dreams because, of course they did.
Flying dreams are more common for men than women - ive never had a flying dream, have you?
Freedom, momentum, or a lack of those things and we’re craving it
The main focus, as always, how do you feel while flying - terrified? Exhilarated,
Could be spiritual enlightenment, seeking
Now falling is a different story - different than flying. Falling is usually scary ( can also not be scary) and signifies lack of control, dont have a safe place to land, etc
A: Stick around for part 2, I had a dream once!
